There are moments in life that seem to sparkle just a little brighter than the rest, and this was one of them. A warm summer evening, the sound of gentle waves and the people we love most all together made for a memory that felt straight out of a storybook.

This night was especially magical because it was your very first trip to the beach, Weston. Actually, you were just a tiny little bean in your mama’s belly last time you were here… but that dosn’t count right?!Β  Watching you experience it all for the first time was something we’ll treasure forever. Your eyes lit up with wonder as you looked out at the endless sand, and your sweet smile grew bigger with every wave that rolled in. It was impossible not to smile right along with you.

The best part? You didn’t just admire the water from the shore. You jumped right into the fun! We all laughed as we splashed in the waves together, feeling the cool water on our feet while the sun slowly drifted toward the horizon. Every giggle, every tiny splash, and every happy squeal made the evening even sweeter.

Roslyn, you were the perfect little adventure buddy, showing Weston just how exciting the beach could be. The two of you explored the sand, watched the waves dance, and soaked in every bit of the magic together. Seeing your sibling bond grow through simple moments like these is one of life’s greatest gifts.

To make the evening even more special, Mom’s Mom and Pops joined us for all the fun. There is something so beautiful about watching generations come together, making memories that will be told for years to come. From shared laughter to sandy toes and happy hearts, every moment reminded us that the greatest treasures in life aren’t things at all. They’re the people standing beside us.

And then came the sunset.

The sky seemed to put on a show just for us. Soft shades of pink, glowing orange, warm gold, and hints of lavender stretched across the horizon, reflecting on the water like a painting only God could create. It was one of those sunsets that makes you stop talking for a moment, simply taking in the beauty all around you.

As the evening came to a close, our hearts were full. Full of laughter. Full of gratitude. Full of love. Weston’s first trip to the beach wasn’t just about seeing the lake. It was about sharing new experiences with family, making joyful memories, and witnessing God’s beautiful creation together.

One day, the sand will wash away, and the waves will keep rolling onto the shore, but the memories we made that magical evening will stay with us forever. And every time we see a sunset over the water, we’ll remember the night our little family laughed, splashed, and watched Weston fall in love with the beach for the very first time.
