Meira, Luke, Liana & the beautiful family who loves you all so deeply,
There are some sessions that stay with me long after I pack up my camera, and this was absolutely one of them. Welcoming baby Luke into the world felt so tender, joyful, emotional, and perfect all at once. Your family carries such incredible strength and grace, and being invited into this season to document your love was truly an honor I will never take lightly.
Little Luke, your name could not feel more fitting. The name Luke comes from the Greek name Loukas and is often associated with “light-giving” or “bringer of light,” and honestly, that feels so deeply true for you already. From the moment I saw you, there was this peaceful sweetness surrounding you. Tiny little fingers curled up against your parents’ hands, sleepy newborn stretches, soft cuddles with your big sister… every moment felt filled with gentleness and gratitude. You are already so incredibly cherished.
And sweet Liana… what a beautiful big sister you are becoming. The tenderness you showed toward your baby brother completely melted me. The little forehead kisses, the careful snuggles, the way your eyes lit up every time you held him close… it was impossible not to feel emotional watching you together. There is already such a deep bond growing between you two, and it was so beautiful seeing your nurturing heart shine through in every moment.
But woven gently into this entire session was also the love for your precious sister, Meira.
Even though Meira is not physically here in these photographs, her presence is still deeply felt within this family. Love like that does not disappear. It changes shape, it settles into hearts, it becomes part of the way a family laughs, hopes, grieves, and loves moving forward. Your family honors her so beautifully. There was never a sense of forgetting. Instead, it felt like carrying her legacy close while still allowing joy to bloom again. And honestly, that kind of love is one of the most powerful things I have ever witnessed.
Your family’s story is such a beautiful reminder that grief and joy can exist together. That healing does not erase love. That God’s faithfulness can still be felt even after unimaginable heartbreak. I kept thinking of Psalm 34:18 during this session: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” And yet somehow, in the middle of all that tenderness, there was still so much laughter, warmth, and light filling your home.
Watching your family together felt like witnessing resilience wrapped in gentleness. Your children are surrounded by so much intentional love, and it is clear they are growing up in a home filled with deep faith, compassion, and gratitude for every single moment together.
I already know there are so many beautiful chapters ahead for this sweet family. More milestones, more tiny hands reaching for yours, more sibling giggles echoing through the house, and more reminders that love always endures. It was such a privilege to document this season for you, and I already cannot wait to watch your beautiful family continue growing in all the years ahead.
Sweet Luke, you are so loved already. And sweet Meira, your legacy continues to shine through every single person in this beautiful family.
