Little Luca,
I don’t even know where to begin with this incredible evening because honestly, it felt like something straight out of a dream. Your “Luca’s Beach Club” cake smash at Edgewater Beach was one of the most creative, joyful, and unforgettable sessions ever. Inspired by the beautiful beach clubs of Italy, especially La Fontanella, every little detail felt so thoughtful and full of sunshine and love. Sitting on the rocks by the water with the breeze coming off the lake, your sweet family, your adorable dogs, and the golden light all around us… it was absolute magic from beginning to end.
And then somehow, the evening became even more special.
Luca, you took your very first steps.
I still can hardly believe we got to witness such a huge milestone together. One second everyone was cheering you on, and the next thing we knew, you were stepping forward with the biggest proud little smile on your face while your parents looked completely overwhelmed with joy. We captured it all, both on video and in photographs, and I already know these are the kinds of memories your family will treasure forever. It felt like time stood still for just a moment while everyone soaked in how beautiful and emotional it was.
Watching you grow this past year has been one of the greatest joys for me. Truly. I have loved documenting your life since the very beginning, and every session somehow makes me adore your family even more. The way your parents love you is so tender and intentional. Every cuddle, every laugh, every encouraging word during your little first steps showed just how deeply cherished you are. And honestly, by now I kind of feel less like your photographer and more like a proud auntie cheering you on from the sidelines.
Your family is filled with so much warmth, laughter, and love, and it is such an honor getting to preserve these moments for you. I already know there are so many beautiful adventures ahead. More milestones, more beach nights, more giggles, and so many more memories waiting to unfold.
I cannot wait to watch you continue growing up wrapped safely in your parents’ loving arms, sweet boy. What a gift you are to all of us.
