Sweet Reese,
How is it possible that you’re already one year old? It truly feels like just yesterday I was meeting you during your newborn session, capturing your tiny fingers, sleepy stretches, and the beginning of your beautiful story. Somehow, in what feels like the blink of an eye, we’ve already arrived at your very first birthday. What a gift it has been to watch you grow.
Celebrating your first birthday at the beautiful Brecksville Reservation was the perfect way to mark such a special milestone. The evening was absolutely gorgeous, with golden sunlight filtering through the trees and sparkling along the creek. It felt like nature was celebrating right alongside you.
One of my favorite things about you is how much you love being in your mommy and daddy’s arms. Every time they held you close, your sweet little face lit up with the biggest smiles. It was so obvious how deeply loved you are, and seeing the happiness you share together made every moment even more meaningful. Those are the kinds of memories that deserve to be held onto forever.
And then came your cake smash! Oh my goodness, you did not hold back. Sitting by the creek with that dreamy golden light shimmering behind you, you happily dug right in and absolutely smashed that cake. It was messy, adorable, and so full of laughter. Those joyful little moments are exactly what turning one is all about.
As the years go by, I hope these photographs become little windows back to this season of your life. I hope one day you look through them and see not only how tiny you were, but just how deeply you were cherished from the very beginning. Every smile, every curious expression, every cuddle with your parents tells the story of a little girl who is surrounded by so much love.
Reese, thank you for letting me be a small part of your story from your newborn days all the way to your very first birthday. It has been such an honor to watch you grow, and I already know the years ahead are going to be filled with even more laughter, adventures, and beautiful milestones together.
