Sweet Luca,
Surprise!!! It’s a boy! We have been patiently awaiting your arrival! I heard it was a fun game between your mom and dad about what gender you would be. Dad was team girl, but your mama had that intuition you were a boy. Reminds me of that saying “A mother always knows” and she knew exactly who you were!
We are happy you have such a big Italian local family to watch you grow. Hearing that some have had the wonderful moment of meeting you.
One of my favorite moments spending time with you wrapped up, ready to go, is hearing how your parents met. They told us they met at Mardi Gras! What a place to meet, however it might explain why you are such a party animal at night for them. Yet, today you were a sleepy dream. Or a little noodle- probably one of the best nicknames I have ever heard.
You had rolls on rolls for only just over a month old. And who could forget the double chins! Every piece of you is pure magic. We even had to bring out the brush for how much hair you had; dark and luscious. It was hard to tell who you looked like more. From the top of your head to your eyes you were your dad, but from your nose down it was simply your mama!
It has been a crazy last few years for your mom and dad. But all of that leads us to today having you here with us. I know they are ready to make the next few years the best ones yet. You have already grown so much as you continue to hit milestones of greatness, we will be watching you grow and cheering you on along the way . I can’t wait to love on you soon!
