You want to give back. You want to share your talents with the world. And you’ve decided to do it in the NICU.

You are awesome.  Yes, I’m talking to you- and do you want to know why?  Because these families need & deserve the extra love during the difficult time of having a healing baby.

So, if you’re going to rock it out, let’s make sure you can REALLY rock it out and be a blessing!

So my 3 favorite tips about newborn photography…

#1- Work with what you’ve got.  A giant window in the room will be the perfect lighting for soft newborn portraits.  A white wall or curtain makes a fabulous backdrop when shot at low apertures.

#2- Don’t forget the details.  Room numbers, the name band on those skinny little legs, the little eyelashes that are budding.

#3- Add in the parents.  Of course we are creating these images for mommy & daddy… BUT… in time these images will be handed down for this sweet little one to enjoy forever.  It’s only fair that he or she can see their mom and dad looking at them in awe!

And last of all, have FUN!
