Dear Alex, Will & sweet Cate,
I don’t think I’ll ever forget this beautiful spring evening with you three at the Cleveland Museum of Art. The cherry blossoms were absolutely showing off, wrapping everything in the dreamiest shades of pink and white, and somehow even with the freezing cold temperatures, all I could feel was warmth the entire time I was with your family. Honestly, if someone looked at these photos without being there, they would never believe we were shivering between shots because every single smile was so genuine and full of joy.
Cate, you were pure sunshine from beginning to end. Watching you run through the blossoms with that happy little grin on your face felt like watching spring come to life. One of my favorite moments was seeing Daddy twirl you around while you giggled and held on tight, completely carefree and trusting. Those are the kinds of moments that matter so much. The kind that become memories you hold onto forever. You brought so much energy and sweetness to the evening, especially while we played red light, green light in the golden sunshine. I can still picture your excited little face stopping dramatically every single time we yelled “RED LIGHT!” It was impossible not to laugh right along with you.
Alex and Will, one of my favorite things about your family is how naturally joyful you are together. There is such an ease between all five of you. The laughter, the cuddles, the way you look at Cate with so much tenderness and pride… it is truly something special. Even on one of the coldest spring evenings, your love made everything feel warm. You can tell that your home is filled with laughter, kindness, and so much affection, and getting to witness even a tiny piece of that is such an honor for me every time.
I already know there are so many more magical evenings ahead for your sweet family. More blossoms, more games, more twirls, and so many more moments worth remembering. I cannot wait to see you all again soon and watch Cate continue growing into the sweetest little girl surrounded by so much love.
