Some sessions feel extra special because they tell a story that has been unfolding for years. Little Joseph- you are one of those stories.

I’ve had the incredible privilege of photographing Joseph since he was born, and every year with him feels like turning the page to a new chapter. Last year, we celebrated his first birthday with an unforgettable cake smash session filled with frosting-covered fingers, sweet smiles, and plenty of laughter. It was the perfect way to mark such a big milestone.

This year, we met at beautiful Brecksville Reservation for a family session with Joseph and his amazing parents. Watching him grow from a tiny newborn into a curious, adventurous toddler has been such a joy. He brought so much personality to our session, and it didn’t take long before the creek became the star of the show.

Joseph was absolutely fascinated by throwing rocks into the water. We spent time exploring, splashing, and watching him light up with every little discovery. Some of my favorite moments happened in between the posed photos, when his parents simply adored him, soaking in this fleeting season of life. The way they looked at him said everything.

As a Brecksville Ohio family photographer, these are the moments I treasure most. Family photography isn’t just about creating beautiful images. It’s about preserving memories that pass by far too quickly. One day, Joseph’s parents will look back on these photographs and remember exactly how it felt to watch their little boy explore the world with such wonder.

I truly can’t believe how quickly the years are passing. It feels like just yesterday I was photographing his newborn session. I already can’t wait to see what adventures next year brings for this sweet family. Until then, I’ll be cherishing these memories right alongside them.
