Sebastian, baby Esme & your beautiful parents,
There is something so unbelievably special about welcoming a new baby into a family where there is already a tiny toddler running around bringing energy and joy into every corner, and this session was full of exactly that kind of magic. From the moment you walked into the Brittany Gidley Photography newborn studio, the entire space felt alive with laughter, movement, cuddles, and so much love for little Esme. It was one of those sessions where the perfectly imperfect moments ended up being the very best ones.
Esme, you are already so deeply adored. Tiny and peaceful one moment, stretching and wiggling the next, completely content wrapped up in your parents’ arms while the whole family gathered around you with so much excitement. There is such a softness that comes with these newborn days. The slower pace, the sleepy snuggles, the way everyone pauses just a little longer to soak in every tiny detail because they already know how quickly it all changes.
And Sebastian… oh my goodness. You completely stole my heart.
You are at that absolutely adorable stage where you are still little yourself, but suddenly you are also a big brother, and honestly, it was the cutest thing ever watching you try to figure it all out. One minute you were running around giggling and exploring, and the next minute you were climbing up close to check on baby Esme with the sweetest little curiosity. Those tiny toddler kisses, the proud smiles, the excitement of getting to hold your sister for a moment… it all felt so genuine and joyful.
One of my favorite things about your family is how much warmth surrounds all of you. Nothing felt overly posed or forced during this session. It simply felt like love. The kind that shows up in messy little moments, in tired newborn cuddles, in toddler giggles echoing throughout the studio, and in the way your parents looked at both of you with so much gratitude and tenderness. You can already tell that Esme is growing up in a family where she will always feel safe, cherished, and endlessly loved.
And honestly, watching Sebastian become a big brother was one of the sweetest reminders that families really do grow together. Slowly, beautifully, and sometimes a little chaotically too.
I already know these two are going to share the sweetest bond as they grow. So many adventures, bedtime stories, sibling giggles, and little inside jokes are waiting ahead for them, and getting to document the very beginning of that story felt incredibly meaningful.
What a beautiful gift this season is for your family. Tiny hands to hold, tiny voices filling the room, and so much love multiplying right before your eyes. Those are the moments that matter most, and I feel so grateful to preserve them for you.
