Baby Elijah,
I feel like I just saw your family in the studio for your stunning Momma’s maternity and family shoot! I’m sure Momma didn’t feel like it was just yesterday that your family was in, but I do! It’s probably because your brother, Nathan, brought such life to the studio with his amazing, big personality and how much I enjoyed hanging out with your parents. Their energy lingers and I know that you are already awash with all love and happiness life has to offer.
You are just as perfect as we thought you would be when we were daydreaming together about what you’d look like and what kind of a baby you would be. I must say you look an awful lot like Nathaniel and are a gorgeous mix of your Mommy and Daddy. During the shoot, you were awake some and in the most peaceful sleep. It was great because I love to capture both sleepy babies and all the details that will change so quickly with every passing day.
Speaking of Nathaniel- boy, is he smitten! He adores you just like we knew he would! He was so gentle with you and beaming from ear to ear when he got to hold you. I see so many years of you boys running around, giggling, and just being the best of friends. I can’t wait to see if you two continue to look so much alike as you grow.
The blanket your parents brought that you Grandma made was such a special touch. I love incorporating items that are meaningful to your family in the pictures that I hope you will always treasure too! The newborn days are such a blur of sleeplessness and snuggles. Sometimes it’s easy to forget how it felt when you wrap your hand around their finger and how sweetly you smell. I hope these pictures always take your parents back to this wonderful time in your lives.
